Reflection On Vacation

Connie and I are on holidays in Acapulco with our daughter Heather,  her husband  Earl, three year old Sophia, and eight month old Chloe. It is an incredible adventure traveling with a young family. It simply makes me feel young again.

I was walking on the beach yesterday and saw something very sad. About a thousand yards from our resort I saw a crowd gathering. When I got there I was horrified to discover a body lying on its back covered over completely. Someone had drowned. Another thousand yards further down the beach, the same scene was repeated. I learned later they were a couple on holidays staying in our resort. They both went swimming and drowned. This really hit me hard and caused me to reflect.

I know that things are not the best for many in the world right now. At home a lot of us are loosing jobs, money is tight, some of us have health issues etc. On the other hand we are alive, we can see the sun come up, feel the rain on our faces, tickle our grandchildren, and share many good times together.

Things are not that bad.
