Take some time
Well hello there!
Can you believe it is already March 2nd? Time is flying by! I went to convention as I'm sure many of you know and I heard an awesome speaker, Steve Gilliland. What an inspiration. He spoke on his series "Enjoy The Ride" He reminded me to enjoy the true joy of life - the trip! I encourage everyone to take the time to enjoy life. Literally stop and smell the flowers. Watch your children play, listen to their laugh, hold it in your memories. If you have grandchildren do the same. Everyone is constantly growing and changing and you can never relive any moments. He also spoke about a man who unknowingly was not appreciative of his wife, Steve encouraged the man to go home and smell the sheets. Steve told the man to take note and know that the mans wife did not wash those sheets because she had to, but because she wanted to. What a powerful thing to hear. I get so busy with my everyday life that I don't always see all the little things my wife does to keep me happy. When I got back home from convention, finally got into bed, (I didn't let me wife see) but I smelled our sheets, and boy oh boy did they smell good.
To all the men out there living with a woman, I encourage you to go home and smell the sheets. Then the next day, when you see her doing the laundry, just say thank you. You'll be surprised by her response.
Cheers
Claude
